Hi! I am Sarah Borota. My husband, Bret, and I have been married for 10 years, and I am a stay at home mom to Brooks (9), Blake (7) and Stella (6).

TTT…..oh how it has changed my life!!Ā When my kids were young, I found tons of excuses not to join a gym. The kids were too little, they didn’t like the daycare, or it was too expensive. I was content doing my workouts in the basement thinking I was in good shape, but I craved better results, group encouragement, and just something more. After hearing and seeing the success my two beautiful friends, Sara Knag and Sarah Payne were getting from TTT, I finally went with them to a workout, and I have been hooked ever since. I remember Sarah saying, ā€œYour health is the best investment you can ever make in yourselfā€, and she is so right.

I have been an athlete all of my life. I started playing volleyball in fourth grade, went on to play in high school and club ball, and then walked on to play at the University of Alabama. I think if you were to poll most college athletes and ask them if they would play a sport for free, the majority of them would be iffy. It’s hard work y’all, but I loved the sport of volleyball, working hard both in the weight room and on the court. The thing I valued most from being a member of that team was the group encouragement and friendships that I made. This is exactly how it is at TTT.Ā From the moment I walked in the doors, I have never felt more welcomed by a group of women.Ā The energy of Angie, and all of the trainers, is contagious, and makes me want to work harder and put in the effort not only for myself, but for them.

January of this past year, I was looking back at pictures of an amazing trip we took to the Virgin Islands. Instead of relishing in the fun times and beautiful scenery of our trip, I was staring at the pictures, disappointed with the way I looked. I told Bret that we were going to start a new plan, and I think he just rolled his eyes at me, because let’s be real, how many times have I started a diet and never actually followed through with it?! This time I was determined. I had set my ultimate goal with Angie in our consult, and honestly never thought I’d get to that number. It seemed so daunting and hard to attain. It was a ā€˜mind over matter’ issue for me. I knew I could work hard and get there. I just had to get to that point where enough was enough.

I started with small goals and rewarded myself with something like a new top (ok a lot of new tops) when I reached it. I had my eye on a coat and told myself when I lost 15lbs that would be my prize. I really wanted that coat! I worked so hard to get to that goal and once I reached it, I was so motivated to keep going to achieve my next milestone. Now it no longer seemed that far away. I had constant encouragement and support from the TTT trainers. Their texts after the workouts saying ā€˜Great job, way to show up for yourself today and put in the work’ fueled my desire to work harder.

While I have gained so much muscle and strength from the workouts, it was changing my eating habits that led to the ultimate success. I committed to cutting out all the unhealthy snacks I was having (a few Cheez-its here, a handful of peanut butter pretzels there and my vice….nuts with dried fruit). Instead, I focused on eating clean, healthy foods and cutting the amount of alcohol I was drinking. I still allow myself a beverage if I’m out with friends or a special occasion, but Bubbly and La Croix have become my go to!

This change and a commitment to healthy choices has turned into a new lifestyle for not only me, but for Bret too. I could not have reached these goals without his support and willingness to make the same changes. If you look at the majority of our text threads, it is one or the other of us admitting to cheating and having a chocolate treat, a cookie, or something that wasn’t on our plan (we aren’t perfect). Ha! But we hold each other accountable and push each other to get that workout in, even when we don’t feel like it. I am so thankful to him that I have been given the opportunity to join this group.Ā I think it has made me a better wife, mother, and role model for my children.

I could talk all day about how much I love TTT.Ā It is my favorite hour of the day!Ā I love showing up and seeing how my hard work is paying off. I’m so grateful to Angie, Tara, Chrissy and Jana for always pushing our team to better ourselves. I’m proof that you can reach your goals and would encourage anyone to come see why this is so much more than a workout! You won’t regret it!
